Chris Meador, an alum of Northwestern University, he built his career on brand strategy and overall product marketing. Interestingly Chris Meador is a theatre and Business Institutions major (Meador, 2016). Currently, Chris Meador serves as a Brand Strategy lead for Facebook Business marketing. “Facebook” is the quintessential name when it comes to Social media. Although Mark Zuckerberg considers Facebook a “tech” company and it’s revenue streams follow suit with a traditional media company. Much of Facebook’s profits come from ad-revenue through targeted advertisement placement derived from Facebook user infometrics. (Warner, 2016) In the early 2000’s, before facebook was the socialmedia conglomerate that we see today, skepticism was placed towards monetization, revenue streams, and just how exactly a free website was supposed to be profitable. Nevertheless, the initial public offering of Facebook set the record for trade volume, beating the record previously held by General Motors (Pepitone, 2012).
