This book compares and contrast the religious beliefs of Buddhism and Christianity. The author does not takes sides, but does emphasis Buddhist beliefs and practices in comparison to Christianity. We should all model our lives after Buddha and Jesus or our faith a practice will suffer and cause suffering as it has throughout history. To truly teach the practices and beliefs of Buddha and Christ one must emulate the life and work of these great teachers. Teaching must be practiced as they are lived, this applies to all Buddhist and Christians alike not only monks, nuns, priest, and bishops. We must work toward peace with a peaceful heart to overcome the evils of society. In order to end violence we must make a collective effort toward understanding, compassion, peace, and mindfulness. These are the teachings of Jesus and Buddha, one must look deeply inside oneself to understand why others suffer and cause suffering. Even if we get rid of all the weapons and bombs on earth, if the seed of war continues inside of us, eventually we will make more weapons and bombs. We must collectively look deeper than the surface to resolve conflicts without killing, weapons, bombs, and war. Only through peace, love, understanding, and compassion can we remove suffering and conflict from our life. When you look deeply at a situation that might cause harm, prayer and understanding are the keys to resolving any situation. When you pray to understand your enemy and why they are how they are, only then will you feel compassion and love for your enemy. When you love your enemy, they are no longer your enemy but your friend. You must practice understanding and prayer. Practicing the teachings of Buddha is the highest form of prayer, prayer without practice is not true
