Christianity and Judaism have many differences, but there are few beliefs that they have in common. Judaism has about 14 million members. While Christianity is the leading religion with about 2.1 billion members.
In Christianity Jesus is the savior of the world, in Judaism Jesus is a false prophet. Houses of worship in Christianity are churches, chapels, and cathedrals. In Judaism houses of worship are temples, synagogues, and schuls. Leaders in Christianity are called priests, bishops, popes, pastors, ministers, and preachers. Leaders in Judaism are called rabbis and rebbes. In Christianity central holidays are Lent, Holy Week, and Easter. In Judaism Yom Kippur,Days of Awe, and the Passover are central holidays. In Christianity major symbols are the cross, crucifix, dove, and fish, and in Judaism the Star of David, chai, hamsa, and tree are major symbols. Sacred rituals in Christianity are baptism and receiving the Eucharist. Sacred rituals in Judaism are wearing tallit and tefillin and prayer services. …show more content…

They both believe in the existence of angels and demons. Both believe that means of salvation are through good deeds. In Christianity and Judaism there is a heaven for those who are good. Christianity and Judaism are majors religions in Europe and North America.
