The story of Bernhardt “Bernie” Tiede is well known for its realistic and entertaining motion picture. This adaptation depicts the impression of a warm, caring man who the community wouldn’t believe partook in the murder of an elderly woman. Throughout this movie the audience can see how Charles Foster Kane undergoes a variety of physical and emotional changes from when he was just a young boy all the way until his unfortunate death. Power, that’s all that Kane wanted in the start of the film. In the beginning of the film Kane gets ownership of the struggling New York Daily Inquirer, Kane suggests that he wanted to use journalism to apply to the public and protect the interest of ordinary people.

In the year 1945 Fritz Lang directed Scarlet Street, a truly classical film noir. The screenplay consists of two criminals who take advantage of a middle-aged painter in order to steal his artwork. Absolutely one of the finest of all film noirs, Fritz Lang’s Scarlet Street is a remake of Jean Renoir’s La Chienne. These two films share essentially the same structure. “The ineffectual nebbishy cashier and protagonist, Maurice Legrand in La Chienne and Chris Cross in Scarlet Street, demonstrates a level of cowardice and naiveté in grown men that is simply unforgivable, thereby resulting in a fate that must be tragic” (Hassannia Para. 1).

Most parents put their daughters in cheerleading because of the uniform and they think it will be a “cute” memory; however, that was not the case for me. I instantly fell in love with the sport, and at six it became my goal to make the varsity team my first year of high school. After telling my mom the goal I had set for myself, she enrolled in tumbling classes and signed me up for rec league cheer every season to help me learn the skills I would need when I tried out. I had waited months to try out for the high school cheer program since the original date had been postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak. I remember walking out of tryouts confident in how I performed in front of the judges.

Bicycle Thieves (1949) discusses themes of struggle and desperation causing one to sacrifice their morality and become the evil they initially fought. De Sica expresses such themes to the viewer through the culture of poverty and the continuous pain that poverty is capable of inflicting. De Sica also employs simplistic narrative, dramatic sound, and mise-en-scene that highlights the depressing nature of poverty.
“Hacksaw Ridge”: the Film Review Hacksaw Ridge is a war drama based on documentary materials; it was directed by Mel Gibson and first demonstrated in 2016. The film tells story of Desmond Doss, a man with difficult fate. The character does not want to interact with weapons because of his faith and negative previous family experience, like an assault on his brother with a brick or an attempted assassination of own father, which hit his wife, Desmond’s mother. But Doss decided to join the army despite of his believes; the main part of plot happened in Japan in 1945. His refusal of weapons’ usage created contentious relationship with officers and fellow soldier; Doss even fell for tribunal, but was saved by his father, who participated in the Great War.
