The United States Civil War was a major event that had occurred in the country because it changed the United States in many ways such as the ban of slavery, equal voting rights, citizenship for those that are born in the United States, technology advancement, better medical care, and equal rights for all. The civil war was guaranteed to happen because of the fact that the North and the South were two different partitions. They were the complete opposite from each other because the North was more of the industrialized ones, while the South were the ones that were more into the agricultural part. The North completely disagreed with slavery while the South were for slavery. This difference was a major one between the two factions that it just led to more differences in terms of which side was making profits, or which side was more successful. The Northerners would try to get rid of slavery while the Southerners would fight to keep slavery and this is mainly what started the Civil War. This author tells us about the partition that the two sides had was because of slavery and it got to the point where the South named themselves a whole different name apart from the United States of America, they were called the Confederate States of America. Another reason for the Civil War for not being prevented was that there were not only differences regarding the slaves but also because of the president of the time. The North had advantages which consists of having a larger navy than the South and they were able to provide much more supplies than the Confederates were able to. The North did not have much worry for this war because they had Abraham Lincoln to their support and the South was just too confident that they were right and that they would eventually win. Other reasons as to why the Union’s victory was inevitable was because they had the means of transportation. They had railroads which helped them send out their goods and supplies for the war. They were able to communicate and treat their navy properly while the South was fighting the war without any preparations. They were on their own for the war and did not have anything planned out, they went with the flow and they just had confidence that the North would back out and the South would win. The North was also able to create a blockade towards the South which prevented the South from accessing ships or any way that they had to transport goods. The bottom line as to why the Union had won was clear and it as because of their ability to cope with the situation in a way that would be realistic and they had more than enough people going to war compared to the South. The North had weapons and men that were able to fight the war with easy access to weapons, the South had weapons but not enough men to fight for them
