What is the Great Depression and Civilian Conservation Corps
As the dark overcast of the sandstorms continued to rage, and the lands lay fallow, people wondered if there would ever going to be any hope for their future. The dust still had not settled from the initial impact of the great depression, and the loss of jobs sent people into the furthest corners of the dark and dank streets. As an unfortunate result of the dust-storms and droughts, it caused a massive loss of multiple crops. Which sent the stock market into a downward spiral which essentially in turn caused it to hit rock bottom and fail. People were scared and many of them felt alone as the hard times just kept coming. According to the Civilian Conservation Corps, The CCC also known as Roosevelt 's Tree Army was open to unemployment, unmarried U.S. male citizen between the ages 18 and 26. (para. 3) This program is setup to help us get more people off the streets and into a working environment yet once again. It was just another step in trying to get the U.S. to gather it’s footing so it can stand tall and gain vengeance on the economic downfall.
In conclusion good and bad happened. Citizens lost their jobs, many lost their lives do to the dust storms, many moved away to California. My feelings for this is that the CCC actually helped a lot of people get back up on thier feet.
