The era of New France marked a transition in which the Native Americans were not acquainted with, the contact with the Europeans. The civilization of the French was much different than the previous settlers. Rather than the French enslaving the Native Americans, they resided alongside them and even cultivated their language. This is deemed as striking because they did not expect or force cultural conversion from the Native Americans. Allan Greer captures these themes in his book, Mohawk Saint, in regards of the Mohawk Saint named Catherine Tekakwitha.

Sharon M. Draper has used character and an engaging plot to create a novel of contemporary realistic fiction about an eleven-year-old girl living with cerebral palsy. Even though every reader cannot relate to having a disability, almost every reader can relate to Melody’s desire to fit in and be accepted by her peers. Draper uses Melody’s internal dialogue (she is unable to speak) to reveal her personal journey and perspective. The plot further reveals Melody’s internal and external struggles as she tries to merge her world with that of her peers. While the plot flows logically, Draper adds a twist when our protagonist is left behind and misses the competition.

In chapter one, Elizabeth D. Hutchison covers many points regarding the values and beliefs of children during their childhood. As children grow up into adolescences and adults their values often reflect on how they were raised during their childhood era. Children who suffer from neglect, shelter, abuse sexual, mental, or physical, abandonment ect... Often struggle when they enter the teenage stage and the adult hood age. Since they did not have anyone to guide them through life they often feel lost and do not know how to manage big changes that come into their life especially when a change in their life is positive. Many of these children who have suffered abuse or any issues are often placed in foster care at a young age.
I have done some research on all the groups available at your unique and extraordinary campus. There are many groups that I intend to participate in and contribute to. After reading about all the choices I was very intrigued by the COW 4 Kids organization. This organization and what they are about is very important to me. I have learned that they care for abused children and look to improve their home and school life by fostering and or adoption.
In Harper Lee’s novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, Lee took the minor character of Mayella Ewell and made her into a sympathetic role to her readers in a latent way. Mayella's life at home is told through the story's background and foreshadowing references. This is how Lee made Mayella memorable enough to the reader to know who she is and her family situation without needing her point of view of her side of the story. Once Mayella enters the storyline, her actions will become understandable to the reader and generate sympathy. One way Lee makes Mayella a sympathetic character is how before entering her into the story, one of Mayella's younger siblings was introduced.
Dorothy Allison claims that context leads others to have distinct perspectives of a person due to his or her social class and familial background. She utilizes personal experiences and flashbacks such as memories from childhood and life as a grown up to reinforce her claim. Allison wants her audience to know that a person can be impacted due his or her social and family background. When the author states, “Then I saw his eyes flicker over to me and my sisters, registering contempt with which he had looked at my stepfather” (134), she brings to light the day she encountered context; she realized that the cashier in the souvenir shop looked at her as if she was exactly like her stepfather. She enhances the authenticity of her claim by providing
each moment while telling her stories. This can often influence the jury to immediately feel bad for the woman on the stand. In response they often make up their minds based on how they feel emotionally about her tales. I believe that the woman should receive comfort for all that she has endured, however it is not the judge’s or jury’s job to do so. The jury must maintain a strict composure of their emotions and not allow them to inflict the outcome of their final decision.
Additionally, Gladwell describes problems in society in the early 1890s that outliers discover solutions toward. The author uses Louis and Regina Borgenicht as an example, demonstrating that when they relocated to New York from Poland, Louis had to find a job that would have favorable pay(,) to raise children (Gladwell 139-140).. Mr. Borgenicht, one day while walking the streets, had found a dispute that the people of New York were having. He observed that clothing was an issue for middle class families, and was determined to resolve this predicament . Louis and Regina sewed all night long making clothes, that Louis would then go to the streets and sell before noon.
Arab American poetry has flourished since the 19th century as a reaction of the immigration in America in 18th century. The Arab-American poets have influenced by the cultural and social background and have affected their thoughts, beliefs, and works. A diverse cultural backgrounds may interfere in the work of the poet. And there are many Arab American poets, who expresses their personal thoughts through poetry. Naomi Shihab Nye is one of these poets who uses poetry to express her cultural and personal perspective.

In addition, there are focused on listening to their consumers and learn from them. By using social media to participate in the environment of an industry or product, companies can interact with their customers (or suppliers) in ways that are different from and more expansive than the roles traditionally taken in buyer –seller relationships.
INFORMATION Social media has to be one of the greatest developments of human history. It has connected humanity like never before. It has changed the way that people do business, with companies providing their own social media accounts to interact in real time with customers. We can quickly see what’s going on in our communities and around the world.
Today our society is more concerned in face book friends where people don’t interact face to face. Social Media has a great impact on business also but only if it is planned strategically otherwise it can be a big failure. It is estimated that 80 percent of teen are Internet users. So, it is no doubt our real world social lives are seeing some changes. Social media is the driver behind that connection.
