This humiliating downfall didn’t deter Marchisio at all, as he worked harder to make sure that the club regains its majestic glory. He was loaned to Empoli in the 2007/08 season, but an impressive outing meant he was brought straight back to the team in the next season. The 2008/09 season was when he properly made the breakthrough to the team, as he slowly developed to an important first team player. 2011/12 season was revolutionary for both Marchsio and Juventus, as a new manager in Antonio Conte and a new system guided them to their first Serie A in over 5 years and that too unbeaten. The trio of Marchisio, Pirlo and Vidal were established as one of the bests in the world and became pivotal to Juventus’ phenomenal rise in
