The Studebaker only lasted fifty-four years, but it still has an impact on our cars today. The Studebaker started off with a person named Clement Studebaker, and then he made a gas powered car, and finally stopped. Clement Studebaker was a inventor and he made horse drawn wagons and even cars. His life all started out with his mom and dad and their names were Johannes Studebakenbecker and Catherine Studenbecker. The last name Studenbecker changed after Clement Studebaker got married and his family decided to change their last name after a few children. Clement Studebaker was married to Anna Catherine Studebaker. Therefore, he was the most famous out of all of his siblings, he also had four other family members. This car weighed a lot lighter than some cars today. The Golden Hawk usually weighed two-thousand-seven-hundred-eighty pounds. In cars today rim sizes vary from car to car, but this car usually had one hundred-twenty and one half inches. The Golden Hawk has a horse power of one-hundred-one. This car´s horsepower is related to a World Rally Car. The engine of the Golden Hawk is a Engine 185CID, 101HP Champion (2010). The Studebaker company started in 1852. This is with counting the wagon. Without counting the wagon company it started in 1912. The Studebaker became heavily in debt in 1933. After awhile Albert Erskine resigned and committed suicide. The Studebaker company finally ended in 1966. This means that this company lasted one-hundred-fourteen years, and this is counting the wagon company in 1852. WIthout counting the wagon company they lasted fifty-four years from the first car they made (2010). Studebaker started off by making horse-drawn wagons and also gave some of the many wagons they made to the U.S Army, during the Civil War. The Studebaker company started in South Blend, India. The first studebaker electric car was made around the turn of the century and was made in 1902.
