The Life of Cleopatra Cleopatra sat down next to the snake, it bit her! Then the venom spread through her body killing her. Cleopatra was the last pharaoh, she live a long life that ended with, supposedly suicide. We will be discussing the evidence toward the theory that that she died from suicide and her achievements. This resource explains her death and how it affected her family. In the article “Cleopatra” the author Bob Frost identifies Cleopatra’s love life and more about Cleopatra. The History Channel states that Cleopatra’s older brother, Ptolemy was poisoned by Cleopatra herself. This shows Cleopatra was greedy. The History Channel also states Cleopatra’s husband, Antony stabbed himself when he got untrue news that Cleopatra was dead. This shows he loved her very much. The history channel also points out how Cleopatra died. Her husband was dead and the romans overtook Egypt so she decided that her rule was over so she willingly took a snake bite which killed her almost instantly.
