Clinical Log I. Description of the Day using the following subheadings: (1- 2 pages) A) Groups and/or experiences. The day began for the children at 9:00. We were in the middle school classroom the entire morning, which consisted of two boys and three girls. Some children arrived early during “check-in” time and they were able to interact with the other children, play games, etc. prior to starting the first session at 9:00. The first session began with a snack and journaling. The journaling prompt this morning began with “if and when I raise children, I’ll never…” This was a really interesting topic for the children because they all had strong opinions about what they would or wouldn’t do if they ever have their own children. Many responses involved refraining from abusing their children, making sure their children do well in school, and always making sure their children feel wanted and loved in their home. …show more content…

The topic was responsibility and the children were asked to fill out a worksheet about the different aspects of responsibility in their lives. After that, the children had some free time, in which we were able to play games with them and get to know each of them a little better. Finally, another behavioral health specialist came in to lead a group on communication. The children each took a communication styles quiz to see which style of communication they use the most (passive, aggressive, passive-aggressive, or assertive communication). Then we discussed each communication style and examples of each in order for the children to better their communication
