As a daughter, I am impassioned to strive forward and make my parents proud.
I am an older sister attentive to her sibling, but a daughter conscious of the hardships burdening the household. Each decision taken considers my family. Do I need this? Or do I want this? Can’t this wait?
Raised in an environment where one is able to depend on another, I maintain this routine by offering words of comfort whenever possible. Contrary to the standard behavior, I am not one to shy away from my younger sibling — rather I use my experiences, my knowledge to orient him and sincerely guide him down a path simpler than mine. However as a daughter, I make efforts to represent my parents in the best manner possible. The initiative to aid others has formed me into a student craving a chance to be involved in clubs, community service, but it has also granted me perspective of the necessity of taking that first step. I delve into what I love, which by serendipity has been academics. Committed to advancing on winding road of higher education, I have maintained a sure focus on my future.
