Warrensburg Missouri, being a college town, is full of many opportunities such as joining Greek life, getting internships, and most impotently getting a college degree. Being the first to attend college in my family, I have been self-motivated to attend class’s everyday on a daily bases and even build time into my schedule to study for quizzes and exams. For the past four months, I have been attending the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg. Therefore, I have learned the highs and lows of being a college student at the university. I am not sure what the reason is for students living in my resident hall to start rumors and gossip nonstop; however, they do and seem to like the drama. In addition to starting rumors about others, many of the students living on my floor complain about everything. They complain about the number of credit hours their taking, their roommate or sweet mates, and of course their personal lives. One good thing is earning a good education. Even though some days can seem dreadful, being blessed to continue my education is a true honor. The university provides tons of extra help outside of the classroom in all courses. Library hours are also a big advantage because it’s open from 6 a.m. until 1 a.m. which allows me to find time to study and complete homework and a quiet and safe environment. Although I am not in a fraternity yet, UCM offers Greek life for all students interested that allows individuals to get involve on campus and connect with others like themselves to build brother and sisterhood. Building relationships with other people is big deal in the college experience, for I think UCM provides a variety of opportunities for students to do
