Twenty Years Circumscribed as my life is in so many ways, like any other individual, I rely on the news as my connection to the world that lay outside my own. This subject thus brings the domain of ignorance, that's because let me make it straight – I keep tabs on by browsing the net, changing channels or only following the Facebook pages that give the news which I prefer. Hence, let me build castles in the air. And by the time the reality had set in, I had built up the ideal world in sharp contrast to the actual world – ‘dream world'. The dream faded, and the irony is, the way of life which has been settled till my death is no longer in my power, since I had figured out that the restraints of the society bound us. Nothing in the world is more dangerous than the genuine ignorance. Back in my high school, my school had a certain curriculum where students were made into four different groups. The tactical rule was that each group should ensure that its member must not speak any language other than English, else it would cost them a point. The objective was to learn proficiency in the language and attain personal development. But what could have been a potential impact on us, soon turned out to a bitter experience. Our aim was no longer, as it should be, to learn and develop, but solely to win by acquiring more points. I witnessed my class accusing, abusing each other verbally and best of friends becoming aloof. You may think that the reason why this resulted was due to dominance, competition or win at expense of others who must lose. However, the sole reason was ignorance. The ignorance of my classmates who didn't bother with the actual outcome. It may seem unimportant but when you relate to the larger society, you can understand how ignorance is the root of every evil like corruption, poverty, dominance, social conflicts etc. So, what do you think happened in the end? We simply compromised, by that I mean, it didn't matter any longer what caused us to quarrel among ourselves in a similar manner how we compromised with the problems of the society as long as it doesn't affect us. Ignorance is the worst type of ailment which when not treated in time will turn into deadly
