So far in the book Brian’s Winter by Gary Paulsen, Brian is stuck in the forest for the winter, and is adapting to the cold atmosphere that is the forests of Canada, and by this food become scarce for Brian and it becomes extremely difficult for him to find food, and then kill it as well, along with food being more scarce and the pond slowly beginning to freeze up. In health and social care effective communication is a key skill all professionals should have when working with families, carers, children and young people. Having this skill helps to build trust it can also encourage the individual to use the services. Looking back to my younger years, I never wanted to play or even talk to the older kids in the playground. Just the fact of them being older than me intimidated me, so I would play only with kids in my age group. The summer of my junior year, my parents didn’t have money to be spending on the little stuff that I wanted, so I decided to apply at Burger King. Fast food restaurants usually just have teenagers working there right? Wrong.
For many years I have been told you will never make it to college, but if you do that is a big surprise. My hometown has an innumerable amount of people who do not graduate high school and who do not plan to attend college. There are many dropouts both high school and college dropouts. I do not want to mirror those people. It is a horrifying expectation to live up to.

Through life experience, working multiple jobs and life roles I have found that I obtain the skills of being congruent, being empathetic and showing unconditional positive regard. As a summer camp counselor it was important that I was empathetically listening tovbe able to effectively communicate with the campers.. Effective communication only happens when the person who is talking provides a clear message, and the person who is receiving the message is actively listening. Becoming as upcoming students from middle school transitioning to high school can be a scary experience for many freshmans. Having different fears such as getting late to their classes the first week, not knowing who to talk to in their new classes, and what type of teachers they are going to get. A few ways that I overcame my fears as a freshman is by not getting lost in the school building, overcoming hard-work plus a lot of homework, and making a few new friends. First on how I overcame my fear by not getting lost in a totally complete big and new building.
High school, it is what it is. It’s going to be mid-August, naturally you’re already going to be hot as it is, and adding it’s the first day you might be stress sweating as well.
