So far in the book Brian’s Winter by Gary Paulsen, Brian is stuck in the forest for the winter, and is adapting to the cold atmosphere that is the forests of Canada, and by this food become scarce for Brian and it becomes extremely difficult for him to find food, and then kill it as well, along with food being more scarce and the pond slowly beginning to freeze up. Brian also needs to build a new shelter for multiple reasons. One reason is because of how his food is situated along with the fire he is burning to cook it a bear one day approached the food and fire, and it was right next to Brian and he at one point attacked the bear in order for Brian to protect his food, but the bear attacks Brian, leaving bruises and scrapes throughout his body so he needs to restart his food placement,
Because my job as a care worker requires me to have Some of this skill to work in the healthcare sector, over the years I acquired some of these skills. In health and social care effective communication is a key skill all professionals should have when working with families, carers, children and young people. Having this skill helps to build trust it can also encourage the individual to use the services. Effective communication is essential when trying to establish and maintain relationships and it is a process that involves listening, questioning, responding and understanding. Communicating with people has made me to work out what their body language might mean,and understand what they want.
I’m willing and able to negotiate elements and I always take into consideration the ideas of my teammates. Out of those situations I also had to learn to be an effective communicator however, my skills were really put to the test during my year abroad as an exchange student. I arrived in my host country with only a few phrases under my belt. As a result, I learned to learn to be a good listener and to be precise in my speech.

Looking back to my younger years, I never wanted to play or even talk to the older kids in the playground. Just the fact of them being older than me intimidated me, so I would play only with kids in my age group. The summer of my junior year, my parents didn’t have money to be spending on the little stuff that I wanted, so I decided to apply at Burger King. Fast food restaurants usually just have teenagers working there right? Wrong.
For many years I have been told you will never make it to college, but if you do that is a big surprise. My hometown has an innumerable amount of people who do not graduate high school and who do not plan to attend college. There are many dropouts both high school and college dropouts. I do not want to mirror those people. It is a horrifying expectation to live up to.

Through life experience, working multiple jobs and life roles I have found that I obtain the skills of being congruent, being empathetic and showing unconditional positive regard. As a summer camp counselor it was important that I was empathetically listening tovbe able to effectively communicate with the campers.. Effective communication only happens when the person who is talking provides a clear message, and the person who is receiving the message is actively listening. The skill to listen is an essential skill needed to communicate with clients. Another skill that I have learned through the passing of my best friend is the skill to be optimistic (or positive).
During this semester, I gained a lot of skills and knowledge about interpersonal relations. As a human being, as a member of the "global village", everyone need to communicate with others. It is important to learn how to communicate well and how to build a healthy and positive interpersonal relationship with others. Like the textbook’ name “Looking Out Looking In”, we looked in the communication itself, looked out the language barrier, nonverbal messages and effective listening, and looked at relational dynamics. Becoming as upcoming students from middle school transitioning to high school can be a scary experience for many freshmans. Having different fears such as getting late to their classes the first week, not knowing who to talk to in their new classes, and what type of teachers they are going to get. A few ways that I overcame my fears as a freshman is by not getting lost in the school building, overcoming hard-work plus a lot of homework, and making a few new friends. First on how I overcame my fear by not getting lost in a totally complete big and new building.
High school, it is what it is. It’s going to be mid-August, naturally you’re already going to be hot as it is, and adding it’s the first day you might be stress sweating as well. Don’t panic, the world isn’t going to end, but it’s just going to start a new journey. You’re also going to face about a thousand new faces too.

Communication is such a key part of life that I often tell to a person that “Its no use of someone if he/she really don’t know by associates people in their work place or area of field”. Communication makes us to be known of others, good or bad that depends on usability of a person communication. In society today, communication classes are highly over looked because of our new developing technology. People don’t realize how much a communication class could benefit them. We have lost sight of verbal communication skills. This class has taught me to put my phone down and communicate with others. It has opened my eyes to the real world without technology.
