As a sophomore at Bard High School Early Queens, my current ambition is to expand my knowledge on the history of our world, but more prominently to improve myself as a person, in which that’s probably the reason why everyone is here at an early college. Given the opportunities to introduce myself, I would like to start off by telling you about my goals and my anticipation i.e. earning an M.D. and become a medical doctor, or a Ph.D. and teach in the sciences, or perhaps both. Either way, my ultimate goal is to go back to Thailand; use the knowledge learned here, and apply it to my country. Approximately 7-8 years later, I came to America again to begin a new learning experience as a third-grade student. At the age of 15 now, I fully understand the fact that I am the only person out of the whole big family to have the opportunities to study here in the United States; although I never consider lucky, this remains as a motivation for myself as it acts as a contributor to the shaping of my identity. As a young student with a Thai heart, I truly admire His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej i.e. the king of Thailand. Throughout his life to present days, he devoted his life to the welfare of the Thai people, where his commitment significantly improved the lives of many Thais, particularly those living in outer cities and provinces where access to modern technology is very limited.
