I want to be admitted into UW Oshkosh to help me have a better education and brighter future. My high school diploma is the foundation of my education but my college education will be the main structure for my future. UW Oshkosh will provide me with more than just a degree, it will provide me with an experience that I don’t think I can find in any other college. I know UW Oshkosh is the right college for me. I am applying to earn a degree in Business Management at Texas State University. With this degree from Texas State i plan to take that knowledge combined with my piror experience in the management side of Business, and begin to continue something that has molded my character. Growing up i stood by learning and watching my grandparents work effortlessly so that the rest of my family was taken care of, that is something that i want to continue for my future family. Currently my grandparents have maintained a successful restaurant, soon it will be my turn to take the reigns. I have a warm heart when it comes to children, I’m the eldest of six children and I am usually the one who everyone comes to for comforting, understanding, and just to listen. When I was applying for college I immediately chose Human Development and Family Sciences with a focus on Family and Child Services; and I have not changed my mind yet. All of my classes and activities are so interesting to me and I love becoming more knowledgeable about the things that make a family a family and how they function. Majority of the people says that college will take you further in life and will enable you to make more money but I think it’s much more than that. College in my opinion introduces you to the real world, widens your perspective on the world and people, and offers opportunities that will allow you to grow. I want to go to college not just to learn but to also experience the vast world.
By participating in Emporia’s Honors College I hope to further enrich my education by challenging myself and my abilities. I want to open myself up to the new opportunities the honors college will be able to provide to me like the leadership trainings. The honors college will better prepare me for my desired future as an elementary school teacher by making me a better leader and more open to new and harder experiences still yet to come. I am a hardworking and dedicated student who is determined to make the most and get the most out of my college experience. I want to major in Computer Graphics Technology (CGT) at IUPUI, where Ill learn how to make video games and animate movies. When I was a child, I was always fascinated by the creations of Hayao Miyazaki and Nintendo games, like the Legend of Zelda. I would spend hours losing myself in adventures with dragons and legends. It was an escape from the up-hill struggle that was my childhood, where I was often picked on for being eccentric and getting caught up in my daydreams. My primary goal for college is to graduate and have the ability to generate the same feelings of wonder and happiness within children that I had as a child.
Since even before high school, I have always been driven to be a hard worker and also to dedicate myself to helping others. It is with this drive that I had the privilege to succeed in many areas of my life such as academics, physical fitness, and also leadership. Having the expectation as a college student to be a motivated, passionate, and top student in my desired program of Entrepreneurship, I believe that I will succeed in the Seminole community as a school wide leader and student based off of my attributes and skills that I have learned throughout high school. My ability of working laboriously and leading others has been exemplified throughout my high school swimming career.
My goals have changed a lot over the last couple of years. Bouncing back and forth between majors and deciding if I even want to be taking college classes right now. I kept asking myself why I should struggle with hard classes when I have a good job right now. But then I stopped and repeated “good job right now.” My job as a twenty year old might support me right now but is it going to support me in ten or fifteen years when I’m trying to buy a house and support my family?
College was always one of my long term goals as I continued with my education. Throughout the years I began to work harder and harder so I could secure my future. I knew that getting to college would not be easy. I am about to embark on a four year journey in one of the hardest fields to pursue. I will continue my education as a Nursing major at a four year university.

When I graduate high school, I plan on having future goals that I plan on achieving. My first goal is to go to college and get a degree. I plan on attending Purdue NorthWest majoring in engineering and minoring in business. This is my number one future goal that I need to accomplish because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go to college to support my future family. My next future goal would be get a starting job to be able to support my future family.
