Enthusiastic, determined, and leader are all things that describe me as a person. Hello, I am Te’Anna Dasher a highly motivated student who attends Albany State University as a first year freshmen. My plan when it comes to my education is to continue at Albany State all four years. I plan on continuing my study of biology and putting my all into my studies. I am going to continue to stay on the pathway laid out for me by the HBCU-UP Program. This is a learning community for STEM majors; they have a guide set for students to follow for a less stressful college experience. Each semester I will be sure to pass all classes while maintaining a GPA of 3.5. My reasons for creating these goals is to hold myself accountable for my future career plans. …show more content…

I plan to learn continuously something new in my field of study to widen my knowledge of math and science. Upon graduating from Albany State my plan is to go to Meharry Medical College where I can be in a dual program for M.D. and Ph.D. My goal for my career will be to get my M.D. and Ph.D. in ophthalmology. I plan to get an M.D. because I would like to be able to influence thousands of people over my career with the joy of better vision. Another reason for getting a Ph.D. is to do research in a lab.
