I have always retained a keen passion in learning about medicine and dreamed about becoming a pediatrician. As I learned more about NYU, I fell more in love with the university, aspiring to one day step into the halls of the school and make my mark. I believe it was the perfect place for me to start my pre-medical studies into one day becoming a doctor. When I first ventured in and around NYU in New York City, my eyes sparkled at the marvel of the campus. It is not one's typical campus. There are no boundaries or walls that will limit my potential and goals at NYU. Instead of being confined in a small box, I would be able to step outside of the box and explore the countless opportunities that New York City has to offer.

As I volunteered at medical centers and learned about the professions of doctors, I will continue to pursue these interests by partaking in clubs such as the American Medical Student Association to learn more about the medical field as a career and the BioMedical Science Club to understand more about biological sciences and medicine. Furthermore, as I am currently taking a class on biomedical ethics, I desire to participate in the Bioethics Forum to discuss ethical issues facing in the medical world. Additionally, As I have partaken in Red Cross in which has allowed me to bring awareness to different diseases, I will be able to continue this activity in Heart to Heart to raise alertness to the risks of high blood pressure and Emergency Health Education to instruct emergency procedures regarding to health since I am First Aid, CPR, and AED certified. For me medicine is no longer a school boys' dream of wanting to become a doctor, it is my service, my duty and my responsibility towards the community. My University has equipped me well for training in a competitive residency program. A system of education that integrates basic sciences with clinical clerkships has added greatly to my clinical acumen.
