Our district is very focused on increasing our technology. Our district’s mission statement says: “The vision of the Warrior Run School District is to create an environment where students are able to recognize their highest potential. This will be achieved through a process of continual review of our defined goals in accordance with the Pennsylvania Academic Standards. As a district we will prepare students to meet the various challenges they will encounter throughout their lives. Our achievements will become an avenue for the ongoing development of a highly successful school district as we advance towards the demands of the 21 century.”
Mission Statement I, Holly Modlin, in the 2015-16 school year will strive to learn new things. I value honesty and respect. I also value responsibility, and hard work. One of my goals is to be able to do a left handed lay-up in a basketball game. Another one of my goal is to get A’s in all of my classes.
Mission Statement A mission statement is defined as a “concise statement of a company 's reason for being, what it actually does, and for whom. A mission statement answers the questions, "What do you do?" and "What is your raison d 'être (reason for being)?" (Abraham, 2012) The reason or purpose of a mission statement is a written expression of purpose.
Over the summer school officials met to review the mission statement of previous years and decided it was time for a change. Our previous mission statement was "The Mission of Charlotte Valley Central School District is to create a learning environment that challenges and motivates each student to become a self-sufficient, cooperative, responsible and attributing member of a global society while encouraging each to achieve his or her highest potential. " This was felt to be too long, busy, too much and not direct enough. So the officials worked together to create a new statement around the six core beliefs. Students first, trust, ownership, communication, collaboration, and growth mindset.
I am Densia Wray, a sophomore at City College majoring in Political Science and possibly Public Relations or minoring in Journalism. My decision to pursue these majors came after thoroughly enjoying my Intro to Media Communications and Intro to Political Science classes, as well as my desire to create local and societal change. Although it took a while for me to make this decision, once I started listening to what I really wanted and not what I thought was wanted from me I realized what I really want to do with my life. Ever since my first real introduction to the world and its realities in my high school English classes I knew that my purpose was not to conform to what society wants from me but to challenge society to change. Over the summer
I have committed to further my education as a pre-law major and hope to become an immigration lawyer. I intend to work hard and with honesty towards my goals in life. Having
My goal with my college degree is to graduate with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and eventually transition into law school within the state of Georgia. After law school, I plan to become a juvenile and immigration attorney in hopes of one day becoming a positive influence and defender for those without a voice. However, as a first generation college student, financially speaking attending college has not been easy. Surviving college would have been impossible without the support of my mother.
Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s Morrill Scholarship Program: Diversity is dynamic and inclusive; a destination and a pathway we travel to model 21st century global citizenship. Diversity matters because the exchange of ideas matter and because no one person or group has all the answers; it helps us to know ourselves in all our multiple dimensions and know each other better. How has the neighborhood you grew up in, the school(s) you attended, and/or your family background shaped your personal and/or educational experiences? How might these personal and/or educational experiences enable you to contribute something unique to The Ohio State University? Note: Don’t forget to provide examples.
A leader is said to be someone who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. During highschool I have had the privilege to be a member of the varsity cheer squad. Being a member of this team has allowed me to work through many hardships but has also been very rewarding. I like to live by my mission statement, which is being friendly, outgoing, and compassionate, always putting my best foot forward remembering how far I have come rather than how far I still have to go. Imagine working eight months for one two minute and thirty second routine.
I don’t know the specifics of what I want to do with my life, but I do know I want to make a difference through communication. I love speaking to groups, catching their attention, and inspiring them. Likewise, Annenberg encompasses everything that I need and want. The USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism creates students who will understand the communication revolution in many areas including education, politics, marketing.
When I was in high school, I always said that my dream was to attend college here in NYC. My mother made everything to make that dream come true, and here we are, all three of us my mom, my little sis and me living in the famous city of New York. Since day one I’ve been trying to accomplish that goal, to have my bachelors degree. In Puerto Rico I was on my second semester on criminal justice in the University of PR in
From the time I was very young, I’ve always believed that with hard work, I could accomplish anything I wanted. Although I love to travel and explore new cultures and new ways of life, I am truly a patriotic American and have a great love for my country. Education has always been important to me. I always knew that I would go to college, though I wasn’t always so sure about what I’d study. I began as a nursing major, but after spending a summer working with children, I changed my major to education.
The School’s purpose is clearly affirmed in the mission statement found on page 5 of the MLES handbook,“Maple Leaf Educational System’s goal is to blend the best of the East and West and provide an excellent quality educational program that prepares the students well, regardless of race or country of origin, for the global world of tomorrow” (1.1_2). This statement has been revised from 2013 (1.1_3) and is revisited frequently during stakeholder meetings in Dalian. Certain elements such as “blend the best educational practices of the East and the West”, “a high quality educational program with a global focus”, “equip international students for success in post-secondary studies”, and “enable students to develop as global citizens and leaders”
I might just be a sophomore in college but I have big aspirations. By 2020 I will definitely have to be done with my Bachelor of Arts. I am majoring in Political Science with a minor in Law and Legal Studies, I am staying focus and contemplating the idea of adding another minor. In addition, I also want to minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice; I just started my second year so I am giving myself time to adapt and understand what I truly want for my academic career.
After learning that an archival center, in my parents’ home country of, Guyana, has been kept disheveled and that many of the documents pertaining to immigration from the late 19th to early 20th century have been ruined, due to carelessness, I immediately obtained the urge to want to conserve history. I feel like it is my given duty to help and conserve historical material, because people are constantly curious to finding out their familial roots. My main career goal is to become an Archivist. I am fond of the idea of working behind the scenes, in which I can prepare and preserve the information/materials others will need to use for research or other personal reasons.
