I might just be a sophomore in college but I have big aspirations. By 2020 I will definitely have to be done with my Bachelor of Arts. I am majoring in Political Science with a minor in Law and Legal Studies, I am staying focus and contemplating the idea of adding another minor. In addition, I also want to minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice; I just started my second year so I am giving myself time to adapt and understand what I truly want for my academic career. Since I can remember I been absolutely passionate about law and politics, it is just so amazing to me how they work and the way they mold a whole society. Nowadays unfairness is everywhere I look, and it is truly unfortunate to see how my generation keeps contributing to the issues with discrimination and ignorance. I do not want that for future generations. That is what keeps me going, I want to be part of the evolution, I want to be part of a massive change in the way people think and act. I am willing to sacrifice a lot in order to learn and try to educate the ones around me about issues harming our community because that is what everyone should do, educate themselves. I do not think I will ever find the correct words to explain how passionate I am about equity and bringing justice to all the people that deserve it. That is probably because is something so personal and important to me. I do not only want justice for everyone fighting for it, but I want justice for myself. Everyone has a different journey and experiences certain struggles, and as a Mexican-American and a daughter of immigrants parents I definitely fought so hard to get to the place I am today. I surely want to make my community a place where fairness is practiced for everyone because I do not want people to struggle as much as I did. I want change, and that is what gets me out of my
