Arizona Christian University (ACU) is a private 4-year institution that is devoted to creating leaders who can produce an impact on the world with the gospel (God’s word). Len Munsil, the President of ACU and author of the book “Transforming Culture with Truth”, mentions in his book that “we have forgotten who we are.” (Munsil 2) Which leads to the question, who are we supposed to be? ACU’s mission is “to provide a biblically integrated education that prepares its graduates to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in ministries and professional occupations.” (Munsil 50)
Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has influenced me in many ways. First, it was the school's amazing nursing program. The school of nursing was established in 1953 and it awards undergraduates the bachelor of science degree. WSSU’s nursing program was ranked number 3 in the nation, and is continuing to grow and enhance the program. I have been given the chance to get into the nursing program, with the help from the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP).
Lubbock Christian University is a private Christian higher education institution. LCU comes from a Church of Christ background and implements their beliefs. The LCU mission statement is “Lubbock Christian University is a Christ-centered, academic community of learners, transforming the hearts, minds, and hands of students for lives of purpose and service.” They have a very strong mission that is lived out daily at the university. As a student at LCU I am able to see day to day procedures and actions.
“Preparing people to lead extraordinary lives.” (“Mission & Identity: Loyola University Chicago,” 2016, para. 3). This is the promise of Loyola University Chicago (LUC), a four-year, private non-for-profit Jesuit institution (“Carnegie Classifications,” 2015). Loyola was founded in 1870 as St. Ignatius College and is one of the largest Jesuit colleges in the United States (“Key Facts at a Glance: Loyola University Chicago,” 2016). In the 2015-2016 academic school year, Loyola enrolled over 16,000 students (“Key Facts at a Glance: Loyola University Chicago,” 2016).
Regent University allows students to grow both academically and spiritually into Christian leaders that will greatly impact the world to advance the Kingdom of God. Regent not only teaches students, but they also equip students to fulfill the Great Commission; which is to go out and teach the nations about Jesus. My vision after graduating from Regent is to heal God’s broken people through a holistic approach; addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual needs through the formation of a nonprofit organization. A MA in Practical Theology would enable me to teach and minister from an outreach approach; sometimes teaching to the homeless in the streets, other times reaching those in shelters, and also those broken within the church. This demographic appeals to me, because I know what it feels like to be broken and lost; and I further understand the power that is in Jesus and his ability to restore and heal.
Throughout the course of my study, I have developed a strong interest in biotechnology and the health industry; it is thus my hope to pursue a legal education that will enable me to participate in and even bring changes to their regulatory systems. UVA attracts me with its strong health law program. I especially appreciate the extensive collaboration between UVA Law and the other medical institutions of the university. As stated in my personal statement, one of my main motives to delve into legal study after obtaining a degree in science is to explore the power of law as a social factor that exploits the potentiality of science to benefit more people; such an interdisciplinary approach that UVA Law takes is no doubt the best way to understand
Participating in library study sessions with friends and peers has not only strengthened my understanding of course material but has also promoted a culture of shared learning, where ideas are exchanged, and knowledge is co-constructed. Engaging in campus ministries, such as the Homeless Ministries and Worship Praise Team by serving as a praise team leader and performer for various worship services, has deepened my understanding of the importance of service and developed a sense of empathy and compassion in my personal & spiritual growth. Collaborating with others in these contexts has provided me with a sense of purpose and fulfillment while fostering a continuous cycle of learning throughout my academic
Coming from a different culture but still embracing the Christian values that Loma Linda University emphasizes, I believe that my unique background and personal experiences distinguish my application from others. Growing up in Egypt, where the gap between social classes is significant, my parents always stressed the need to prioritize service into my life encouraging me to dedicate time in volunteering and helping others. As a result, my experience has grown from volunteering to serve as a camp leader for orphans in the summer to participating in international dental service trips. As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.

My job as a patient care technician allowed me to care for numerous individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Through this experience, I came to the realization that I loved people. I loved hearing their stories and the secret hopes and fears they would share with me in the dead of the night. I realized that I wanted to have a career where I could not only help people, but learn from them as well. I believe a career in the healthcare field would allow me to do this.
I’m a Christian 17 year old teenager that wants to be someone big, and shine God’s light in this world. To begin, the summer of 2016 I attend to my very first camp. With that said I have an amazing youth leader who I love so much and supports me in everything she encouraged me to assist to the camp “OVERCOME.” Turns out to be a total blast, I was 15 at the time, it was from my church. The weather, the place everything was wonderful, waking up to worship The Lord, it was when I believed when they say that we live for Lord, because I was giving everything, every second of my day to him.
Therefore, it is not just the religion I want to experience from California Baptist University but I also want to learn from it in order to improve myself as a better person. Moreover, I want to learn from the leaders who have religion as a guideline to care, help and protect other people in their community. During my trip back to Vietnam in 2015, I had gotten a chance to learn the great qualities from the religion leaders. I was invited join the Nhan Van charity foundation of local church, which provided health care service for underdeveloped areas.
I am currently working as an LPN rooming patients in an OB/GYN clinic. My job includes taking vitals, updating medical records as necessary, preparing exam rooms for the providers, administering injections and medications per order, and recording signs and symptoms for the providers. I work along side the providers and midwives assisting with procedures. I place OB patients on the non-stress testing machines and educate patients on topics such as breastfeeding, maintaining a healthy pregnancy, etc. Working here, I 've been able to witness many situations that drive me to want to succeed as a doctor, such as being able to assist patients who are in active labor or empowering patients to take better care of their health.
Even though my calling now is to be a nurse, I feel like being a professor that teach other students to help other in need is not a bad idea.
