College Admissions Essay: The Journey That Changed My Life

Whether you may refer to this as a talent or a prominent aspect of my identity, my desire to progress and embrace change has had an significant impact on my being. The very notion of experiencing something new and progressing at it keeps my passion and drive aflame. Concurrently, I have come to the realization that our society is great not solely due to the emotional bond between its members but also to the collective development of intellect. As soon as I perceived this concept, it was as if everything around me had been thrown into a new light. Therefore, with this new mindset of developing and progressing through intelligence, I have devoted my life for the betterment of myself and my society.

A perfect example of a primitive encounter with this mindset is my relationship with music. At the beginning of my musical journey, I began as a perplexed sophomore in high school with almost no relation or connection to the arts. With little to no sense of beat or rhythm, I had no intentions of ever getting involved with vocal performance. To clarify, I 'm talking mainly about mathematics and science. My personal discovery of the ability to comprehend our realities through numbers and evidence has drastically changed my viewpoint not only on my surroundings but on myself as well. Coherently, just like my primal experience with music, this has started to become life for me. I literally breathe these ideas and live through these concepts. It has become a part of who I am and who I will become. With such a desire to progress and learn, I had to find resources. These resources were surprisingly available. Through multiple libraries, websites, documentaries, courses, applications, podcasts, exhibits and conversations with my peers, I have been able to satisfy my cravings for these
