Who am I? This question could be answered simply by looking at the name at the top of this paper, but how much does that really tell you about me? A Google search could tell you that “Jack” is a male given name that is traditionally used as a nickname for “John”; this is true for me. A search could also tell you that “Howell” is a surname originating from Wales; one could infer that I’m Welsh. This is also true, but I’m more Irish and Lithuanian than Welsh. I don’t like placing myself ‘in a box’ and constraining who I am to a single statement; I am always changing, and my interests are always changing. Therefore, the culture that surrounds me is also always changing. I consider myself to be creative, open-minded, and thoughtful. I believe in treating others kindly and being polite. I also believe in respecting everybody and everything, including myself. These values make up my code of ethics. …show more content…

I consider myself to be creative, open-minded, and thoughtful. I think that the culture of my family and the way I was raised has had more of an influence on my personality than the region in which I live (Connecticut), but both cultures have both influenced me. My family raised me to be open-minded and thoughtful. I am open-minded when I meet new people or try new things. I am thoughtful when I am polite, kind, and think of other’s feelings.
