What's your goal? My goal is to be league champions for my softball team and to succeed in softball. I’ve been playing softball for as long as I can remember. I remember traveling to tournaments and the long car rides. I remember failing and wanting to quit. But best of all I remember the moments when softball doesn't just feel like a game but a dream. A dream doesn't just come to you on your own. For me I need to meet my goals to fulfill my dream. The challenges softball comes with are failure, doubt, stress, and anger but that's what you learn from and grow from. The skills that I need to meet my Ithaca would be to work hard at practice and outside of practice, focus, and trust. The people I believe that one of the biggest benefactors/helps that will help me reach Ithaca is my sister. My sister's name is Maddy and she got a full ride to play softball at Lehigh university. I have many memories with my sister when we are practicing with each other but a moment I'll never forget is when she hit a ball over the fence when I threw an inside change up on her even though that's not good for me. I'll always remember it and It pushes me to be better. Maddy also helps me all the time with hitting and she is very confident in me. I feel like this Benefactor relates to Hermes in the Odyssey because Hermes helped to guide Odysseus to save his men and also convinced nymph Calypso to free the imprisoned odysseus. I think that a deterrent would be school work.
History and Bio would probably be the biggest factors because I always have to study for those classes. A moment where this affected me is when I had a game against royal on a thursday but also had to study for a bio test that was two test grades and 200 points.
