Every possible color has significance in the field of interior design. It is a common perception that white is the absence of color and black equates to nothingness, but in interior spaces, they individually create strong statements and when combined, produce a distinguishable striking contrast. Schools have traditionally employed white for their indoor spaces like classrooms and laboratories. However, psychological research has introduced the idea of colors as effective elements that induce brain activities, thus school building exteriors and interiors have been modified accordingly. Classrooms have been allowed to have blues and reds to be part of their color schemes however they are limited only to columns or portions of the walls and their shades not are as intense as what you might expect in restaurants and hotels.
