Communism is an economic philosophy founded by Karl Marx in the 2nd half of the 19th century. Marx and Engels felt Capitalism created a huge separation between social classes; specifically affecting the lower classes. They desired to end an established system that led to the exploitation of workers. So in 1844, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels published “The Communist Manifesto” This new found economic system gave ownership to the whole community thus naming it “communism.“From each according to his ability; to each according to his need.” - Karl Marx This new found system accomplishes equality but, satisfies few. Communism fulfill it’s goal of equality between different social classes. For example: The economic system was designed to allow the poor to attain the same financial and social status as those of middle class landowners, thus accomplishing its goal of equality. Communist economies also provide their citizens with the same medical care; free of cost. But, at the end; the government receives the most gratification. They want to establish a system that didn’t exploit workers and leave a huge gap between social classes. This new found economic system accomplished equality but satisfied only the government. It distributed equal wealth and left the government with control over all good of production. As the 19th Century came to the end, communist governments skyrocketed their size of military but left their citizens with free medical care and limited to resources. These imperfects didn’t keep countries like China, Cuba and North Korea away. They all incorporate it into the way their government functioned. China created their constitution in 1982 but has had civil right added to it. Lastly, North Korea’s firm political control will likely inhibit changes to its current economic
