On the other hand, maybe they are just doing their job, they are not trying to be self-focused people, but it just comes off that way. For example, imagine if your boss was more of a friend with you, rather than your superior. If this was the case, then nothing would get done in the office because your boss will be too lenient with his employees. This is easy to tell in The Communist Manifesto because politicians were brought up rather often. Marx and Engels continued to talk about the power of politics later on in the book, when they said, “All production has been concentrated in the hands of a vast association of the whole nation, the public power will lose its political character. Political power, properly so called, is merely the organized power of the class for oppressing another” (Marx and Engels, 20). Marx and Engels are basically saying that if you don’t have political power, then your country has no political character. The more powerful the country, then their political power will be stronger, and it will affect the whole country. This is definitely true today, just look at the United States.
