Ancient Egypt: The ancient Egyptian design styles showed a lot of how they lived in those days. For example their pots and vases would be covered with pictures of people relaxing on chairs with exotic animals around them. They also made a lot of jewelry, especially using expensive materials such as gold to adorn the tombs of their dead. The Romans: In my opinion the Romans still remain some of the most incredible designers their have ever been. With their huge buildings built of stone with pillars and intricately carved statues they seemed to turn their idea of perfection into real life living. From what I can see their is still part of a roman heritage still going on when it comes to furniture, the cold mansion style of today has many features such as the clawed feet on chairs and incredible furnishings. The ancient Greeks: The ancient Greeks showed a very unusual time in history where democracy forced a change in designs. This was because everyone was to be equal so a lot more money was spent on things such as temples. This meant less money was spent on personal abodes and tombs. However as the times moved on peoples design ideas moved more towards places in which men could meet and socialize, such as gymnasiums.
