After reading the novel Twisted, written by Laurie Halse Anderson, I have become more aware of how different emotions and attitudes that people have can positively or negatively affect how they’re viewed by society. Furthermore, an individual’s attitudes and actions can also change their perspective of the world and the quality of their life. Early on in the book, we are introduced to the main character Tyler, who is an emotional, unpopular, and insecure seventeen year old senior who is hoping for things to change. Throughout the story, we follow his emotional rollercoaster filled with his thrilling highs and devastating lows. After researching astrology signs and their true meanings about specific traits, I have decided that Tyler fits within the Cancer symbol.

Have you ever met someone and wanted to know everything about them? Jimmy Valentine from the text, “A Retrieved Reformation”, moved to a new town where nobody knew that he was keeping quiet. However, the Painter Lady from the text ,“The War Of The Wall”, caused many fights because she didn't tell anyone anything about her. Both, Jimmy Valentine and the Painter Lady keep quiet, make people mad, and then turn out to be good people at the end of the story.
Apparently the time you are born predetermines your personality with a corresponding zodiac sign. If this is true, then why are there people who do not fit within the characteristics of the sign, or like Grendel have characteristics from all signs? In the his novel, Grendel, John Gardner incorporates each chapter of the book with a distinct astrological sign, to display the growth and withdraw in Grendel's philosophical development. The different zodiacs in each chapter are parallel to Grendel’s spiritual evolution, constantly seeking to understand the world around him and himself. Through the chapters of the book, it can be seen that all zodiac animals are interdependent of each other, and this tears Grendel apart emotionally.
Leo was first cataloged by the Greek astronomer Ptolemy in the 2nd century. Leo is one of the oldest constellations in the sky. Here 's a picture of this constellation. The Leo 's creation myth is interesting and confusing as well. The story of this constellation is typically attributed to an ancient story of Hercules (Greek mythology) and his 12 trials.
Second century astronomer Ptolemy identified it as one of the first fourty-eight constellations and it is still one of the modern eighty-eight today. Containing many bright stars, Leo is one of the most easily recognizable of the constellations. The creation myth of Leo or "Leo the lion" is normally attributed an ancient story of Hercules and
Compare and Contrast Writers will often get inspired by an idea, notion, or belief, for this is the basis of writing. As a result, the authors will document their thoughts on the subject, as writers do. However, a person’s writing reflects their personality as much as their writing ability, although some types of writing require a more factual approach. Furthermore, with someone’s personality comes their opinions as well.
Not many scientists are certain when the Assyrian Astrology began, but many suspect it was around the years B.C. in 612 B.C. The zodiac circle is one of the oldest and most used forms of astrology. This tradition was built up throughout the years 3,200-500 BC and it was made into a religious tradition in Mesopotamia.
