The sports of track and field is better than cross country. They have different workout methods and the sport has been around longer. There two sports have different costs that make one more affordable than the other. Each sport offers different scholarships and college offers for education. Cross country is more difficult than track field because the type of training involved.
Although track and field may cost more, you get more out of the sport. The club fees for track and field are between $100-$200 which may or may not include a uniform. The fees required for each track meet that athlete enters will vary. The cost to participate in cross country is between $90-$150. Generally, meet registration fees will cost around $5-$15.

Getting a track and field scholarship isn’t easy. There are some very hard challenges you have to achieve. Example is maintaining an appropriate 3.0 GPA, certain speed to qualify, and a decent ACT/SAT score. Male and female athletes will each receive a $500 scholarship if you are attending a four-year Institution. If you are attending a two year you will be receiving a $250 scholarship. Football, wrestling, and girls soccer were ranked second, third and fourth in terms of injuries. Boys cross country rated fifth had an injury rate about two thirds that of girl’s cross country. The high rate of injuries girls cross country appears to stem from the time of year the sport is held, the growing recognition the sport has received and the pressures that recognition was created , including puberty and bone density. The many different track and field events allow for many more potential injuries to occur to an athlete and being smart about injury prevention helps to eliminate these
