Hitler vs. Churchill Who was Adolph Hitler and Winston Churchill? Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 and died on April 30, 1945. He was a German army veteran, and extremist party leader. (page 550)
Churchill was born on November 30, 1874 and died on January 24, 1965. He was a British military writer, prime minister, antisocialist, and British Empire defender. (bio) Both of these leaders have different views on life. Many people stand in difference for what they believe in and what they stand for. When Hitler was arrested in 1923, he wrote Mein Kampf “My Struggle,” which he intended for it to be the basic book of Nazi life. His desires were of nationalism, racism, and anti-semitism. However, some people do not believe in that. Hitler looked at Jews as his biggest enemy. He prohibited them from marrying non-jews, attending German schooling, holding government jobs, practicing law or medicine, and publishing books. (page 553) Churchill claimed that history consisted of the deeds of great men, whose actions determined the fate of nations. He treated his citizens with respect. Churchill was very close with United States President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) and Soviet Union Leader Joseph Stalin. He introduced prison system reforms, first minimum wage, and set up unemployed labor exchanges. From the Labor, Liberal, and Conservative parties, Churchill established a coalition cabinet of innovators. (bio) Never forget to set goals for yourself in everything that you do.
