Days of Infamy and Evil: The Comparison 9/11. A day of evil and infamy. An attack that took place on September 11th, 2001 in the United States affecting the New York, Boston, and Virginia. The horrific unexpected event happens quite early in the morning for no one to prepare. Many questions were being asked, Who did this? Was this an accident? Are we at war? Attack on Pearl Harbor. From many years before, another day of evil and infamy. The attack took place on December 7th, 1941 in Hawaii territory. These two attacks that happened in the United States both had many similarities and many differences between them. But both events will forever go on in history.
About sixty year apart, two events had occurred in the u.s that was much unexpected, but between the two there is much to be compared. On December 7th,1941 Pearl Harbor as well as other countries, such as Guam and the Philippines, received a surprise attack by the Japanese. Similarly, time before 2001's event, the 19 hijacking men took a lot of preparation before the 9/11 attack such as years of training and much flight classes with no suspicion what so ever. It can also be compared that the two events both happened deliberately, intentionally for the United States- ubrupt unforeseen and unpredicted. The two separate attacks also did very much damage to the country. During that attack on Pearl Harbor it damaged 21 ships of the U.S, destroyed 188 airplanes, killed 2,403 Americans and injured 1,178.
