In both of the short stories, “Lamb to the Slaughter” and “A Jury of Her Peers,” there are many similarities. One similarity in each of the short stories is, the wife murdered the husband because she felt mistreated. In “Lamb to the Slaughter,” Mary Maloney kills her husband, Patrick Maloney, because he wanted to divorce her. Mary was furious with him, and decided to kill him with a leg from a lamb. In “A Jury of Her Peers,” Minnie Wright killed her husband, John Wright, because she felt mistreated and controlled by him.
