Many people think that violence is the best solution to an argument or disagreement but sometimes using your words and talking is the best way to go. Words can be so much more powerful than going straight to weapons and fighting. Many historical people such as Martin Luther King Jr, Mark Anthony, and Ronald Reagan, have proven that words are stronger than weapons. These people have proven that using your words can get you just as far as fighting and using weapons. When Mark Anthony gave his speech for Caesar, In act 3 in Julius Caesar Mark Anthony says “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears: I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him. The evil that men do lives after them: The good is oft interred with their bones.”. Mark Anthony was trying to prove to everyone that Caesar wasn't as bad as the conspirators (the people who took Caesar life) were making him out to be. Ronald Reagan wanted to tear down the Berlin Wall, it encircled West Berlin for about 30 years. He gave this speech looking for peace and everyone to be able to see their mates again. Ronald Reagan called the wall a “scar” meaning that it was a bad symbol from cold war. In Ronald Reagan's speech he states “As long as this gate is closed, as long as this scar of a wall is permitted to stand, it is not the German question alone that remains open, but the question of freedom for all mankind.”, all he wanted was peace and for everyone to be able to see their mates again, he wanted the wall known as a “scar” from cold war to be torn down.
