Pearl Harbor vs 9/11 It’s no secret that two of the most devastating events to take place on American soil, curtesy of foreign nations that is, were the attacks on Pearl Harbor and 9/11. The very amount of physical damage done was inconceivable and the death toll was horrendous. 2,400 people died within a matter of hours in the attack on Pearl Harbor, while 3,000 were killed during 9/11. Though most of the casualties from Pearl Harbor were military officers, there were still several civilian killed as well. On the other hand a great majority of the death toll on 9/11 had in fact been just everyday citizens and first responders.
