Rogue waves are large surface waves occurring near certain geographical features. These immense waves are caused by ocean currents. According to the article, What Are Rogue Waves, it states, “Rogue waves seem especially likely to occur in places where currents collide” (Simmons 59). This illustrates that when two
A tsunami is a series of great sea waves caused by an underwater earthquake, landslide or volcanic eruption. A tsunami is a series of many waves known as wave trains. A tsunami can also be generated by a giant meteor. Most tsunamis are known to be formed by underwater earthquakes.
Earthquakes happen every day, but tsunami earthquakes are pretty rare. Usually the earthquake needs to reach a 7.5 magnitude to cause a tsunami.
They are similar in the way that they caused fatality, damage, and chaos in such a short period of time. The reason that makes
The text says, “A rogue wave is an enormous wave that occurs far out in the ocean.” (Simmons 58) For instance, rogue waves are usually found in the Bermuda Triangle or in the middle of the ocean, but never hit the shore, they stay in the middle of the ocean.

That is an opinion with factual evidence. My two disasters are Indian Ocean Tsunami and Dust bowl. The relationship between The tsunami and dust bowl is they both form into a giant wave. For example the tsunami forms by an earthquake. A dustbowl forms by the indigenous grasses in place, the high winds that occur on the plains picked up the topsoil and created the massive dust storms that marked
Science A tsunami happens when tectonic plates converge after earthquakes, landslides on the seafloor, large volcanic eruptions, or a meteorite crash on the ocean floor. In this case, the tsunami was caused by an earthquake. When the earth’s tectonic plates move and grind against each other, energy builds up. There are three phases to a tsunami: the generation, the propagation, and
Natural disaster can be every bodies night mare in some parts of the world because of all the damage they can cause. Hurricanes and twister have many similarities and differences. They are both different in their location and their wind speed. On the contrary, they both do about the same amount of damage and where you should hide is similar. To begin with, hurricanes and tornados vary in their location.
The Japanese and Alaskan Tsunami and Earthquake. Earthquakes have been occurring for many years, they are known for their massive destruction and life-threatening motives. Many earthquakes occur on land, but they also can happen on the sea floor. When the ocean floors tectonic plates shift, pressure is released and creates an energy that sets of the waters in wave like motion. The wave will barely rise out at sea, but it does travel at the speed of a flying jet.
What just happened!? ! It was a tornado. Tornadoes and hurricanes have many differences and similarities. Tornadoes and hurricanes cause a ton of damage.
Daryn Kagan once said, “Bad things do happen in the world, like war, natural disaster, disease. But out of those situations always arise stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.” A natural disaster is a major adverse event resulting from a natural process that happens suddenly without any alerts. Hurricanes for their hot places, and near coast placing, their hit by hot and cold coming in by the north and west. Tornados and hurricanes also both spin counter clockwise. The last similarity is that both hurricanes and tornados are the owners of several lost lives and lost property. Most certainly, hurricanes have an eye shape center and tornados are a hollow and just a funnel.
