He grew of Rich and his family was white. Before he was the president he was a governor Of New York in 1928. He served his election of being the president of the United States of America.
When most people think of great U.S. presidents the first to come to mind is usually Theodore Roosevelt. He was remembered as knowledgeable, honest, strict, and unwavering in his policies. Most important in the minds of most people is the time when Roosevelt divided substantial monopolies into minor separate companies. Unfortunately, not everything that Roosevelt achieved reached its goal. The opposite can be said of Woodrow Wilson who has been seen as one of the worst presidents, especially by people like Ben Shapiro.
When comparing Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson’s stance on foreign and domestic policies, there are similarities and differences. One iconic phrase we associate with Roosevelt, “speak softly and carry a big stick,” justly depicts his stance on foreign policy. Roosevelt sought after prestige for America, desiring to stand out among the nations in power and strength. At times, Roosevelt’s foreign pursuit was aggressive and resulted in conflict such as the Spanish-American War, and resistance to Roosevelt’s Corollary. But it did lead to advances of the construction of the Panama Canal, and the absorption of power over the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Guam, Cuba and Hawaii.

He was a young Republican who took unexpectedly took office after the assassination of President William McKinley. There was a different kind of energy Roosevelt brought to the White House, and ultimately won a second term. He even ran again for a third term under the Progressive Party but ended in being a failed run.

However, a lot of the time presidents are criticized more for their mistakes rather than their accomplishments. As Michael Siegel shows in his book President as Leader “presidential leadership is exercised by real, flawed human beings, and not by superheroes or philosopher-kings beyond the reach of scrutiny or critique.”

For most of the duration of the war her age ranged from age six to eleven. I asked her where she was when she heard about the news on the Pearl Harbor incident in 1941. The day she heard about Pearl Harbor she was at her father’s barber shop on a Monday afternoon with her two younger sisters.

Warren Harding was an isolationist who wants to return the America to normalcy. During the Great Depression Herbert Hoover and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, used different strategies and ideas to try and get America out of the depression. But ultimately one President failed at doing so, and one President succeeded at doing so. Less than eight months into Herbert Hoover’s presidency, the stock market crashed on Thursday, October 24, 1929. Most experts, including Hoover, thought the crash was part of a passing recession, that would eventually rebound.
Teddy Roosevelt had many “firsts.” He was the first ever American to win the Nobel Peace Prize. He won for negotiating peace in the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-5 (Abrams). Roosevelt also pushed to have the pure food and drug act. He served in the presidency from 1901 to 1909 and was known as one of the ablest presidents and an icon of the Progressive Era.
What does it take to be the president of the United States of America? The Constitution lists only three qualifications for the Presidency — the President must be at least 35 years of age, be a natural born citizen, and must have lived in the United States for at least 14 years, but is that really all it takes? No! Even if you meet all of those requirements you still have quite a bit of work cut out for yourself. It is a very long process to even be considered in the running for president, with campaigning your way throughout the country, then having to be selected by the citizens themselves.
Funny how history works, FDR and Truman were the right Presidents at the right time. FDR introduced the greatest amount of domestic liberal economic legislation as part of his New Deal domestic program. Measures like the Conservation Corps (CCC), Works Progress Administration (WPA) and Tennessee Valley Authority employing over 8.5 million people and the cost of $10 Billion (Burran 2008). Although Hamby’s Liberalism and Its Challengers clarifies that new Deal failed to establish a variety of socialistic ideas and resolve all the problems, the credit is given for at least smoothing out some difficult times (Hamby 1992, 50). Has there ever been a president as influential as Franklin Delano Roosevelt? Truly Roosevelt was a unique man that lead American through one of its hardest times. WWII threatened world peace and the Great Depression was actively wearing the U.S. away. Few other times in U.S history required someone of FDR's caliber to lead America through such a storm. Roosevelt was undoubtedly meant with much success and love.
The greatest president that has ever served the United States is George Washington. He was not only the first president of the United States but also the commander in chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He was victorious over the British and quickly became a hero doing so. He helped draft the constitution and with his leadership and courage. As first president, he become a role model for every other present succeeding him and helped create our countries values that we cherish so much today.
