The American Revolution and French Revolution were similar and different in many ways. They both started for many reasons, and both ended in success and failures. They had good things as outcomes and not so good things. Let’s start with the American Revolution. Before the American Revolution the thirteen colonies were a part of the British Empire. They had to pay for many of the Britain’s things such as taxes. They weren’t treated as great as the British and had to pay a lot of money. This was a major cause of the American Revolution. The Americans were getting tired of British rule and wanted to be free, or not ruled by the emperor. The thirteen American colonies rejected British monarchy and aristocracy. The British and Americans fought the French. Britain was already low on money and to try and get more they started taxing the American colonist even more. This did not help the tension between them. This event in turn cause the Stamp Act which was higher taxation on the American colonists. Another event would be the Battle of Bunker Hill. This was a battle between the British and Americans. Even though the result of this battle was that the British won the Americans learned a lot from this battle. The British had spent a ton of money in this battle leaving them poorer and weaker. The Outcomes of the American Revolution were both good and bad. To some there are more bad than good, but to me there were better consciences than bad ones. Some of the good ones were that the colonist gained their independence, gained more land, and established the beginning of state governments.
