Pearl Harbor and the attacks on the world trade centers on September 11, 2001 also known as 9/11 were both events where thousands of innocent lives were taken at the hands of foreign attackers that entered our country. In both of these events thousands of lives were ended by foreign terrorists. Pearl Harbor and the attacks on 9/11 are both very symbolic in our nation’s history. First, on December 7, 1941 one the of the nation’s largest naval bases stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii called Pearl Harbor was attacked by surprise by the Japanese in hope of eliminating a large amount of our fleets so Japan could expand. The Japanese destroyed almost 20 American naval vessels, including eight huge battleships, and more than 300 airplanes.

The attack on September 11, 2001 is very similar to the attack of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. For example a lot of innocent people lost their lives, a lot of people united together as a family, destroyed a lot of americans icons, and lastly the president's announcements were very similar to one another. these two specific events had a huge impact on america and the whole nation. To begin with, Thousands of people were killed or wounded during 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. Also many sacrifices were made for example, firefighters risk their own lives to save citizens and children during 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

The huge attack of Iraq on the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 left an everlasting impact on the US. On this day many fatalities occurred and much sadness fell upon the world. The events of the day were summarized as 19 militants associated with the terror group al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out targeted attacks in the United States. Out of the four planes, two of them were flown into the World Trade Center in New York, a third one into the Pentagon in Washington and the fourth one crashing off course into a field. The morning of Tuesday September 11, 2011 is one of the biggest tradgies of all time. On this specific day four airlines were hijacked by an Islamic group that goes by the name al-Qaeda.
