Throughout the history of the United States the U.S has partaken in many wars, some more brutal than others. But a war that will always stand out more than others is the Vietnam War. “The Vietnam War is one of the most important proceedings events in the history of the United States. Artillery has been used since the American Revolution and since has grown into the Artillery we know today. “By the late 18th century, artillerymen were considered elite troops. In an age of widespread illiteracy, soldiers who could do the geometric calculations necessary to place a cannonball on target must have seemed almost as wizards.”(American Revolution) But Artillery has evolved since then having rocket propelled, satellite guided and rounds that help you maneuver at night just to name a few. Artillery will always play major roles in war because it limits the amount of hostile forces you have to deal with in the blink of an eye.
