Setting is the place that the story takes place. In Rikki Tikki Tavi the setting in which the story takes place is in the Bungalo of Segowlee cantonment. Even though both the movie and the story take place in the Bungalo there are still differences. One difference is that in the movie when Rikki is washed out of his burrow he ends up in the middle of the road. In the story he ends up in a ditch on the side of the road. Another difference is that in the movie when they fed him the banana they feed it to him inside the house, in the story they feed him the banana on the veranda. Although there are many differences between the two there are also many similarities. One similarity is where the snake hole is located. The snake hole is located near Darzee’s nest under the tree.
