Ida & Louise Cook saved Jews from the holocaust. They raised money for the Jews. They also planned their escape. They got 29 Jews into Britain.
Sonia Obutch a True Hero Sonia at this point in time she didn’t want to die. She did it for her people, she did it because she was fighting the German soldiers. Sonia was a 17 year old girl who was a Jew and she was kind of like a nurse. Since there were a lot of soldiers that were getting hurt badly. Sonia went out sometimes and would help take down communication towers.
After learning about Brownian and others during this hard time I would like to acknowledge all of those alive during this time and show the world what happened so that we can be prepared to stop this terrible tragedy from happening again in any other country to anyone, no matter what their nationality or race is because I believe that we should all be treated as the same human being that you want yourself to be. In conclusion Brownian was a very strong and important human being who survived the holocaust even when none of the rest of her family could and should be recognized all around the world for her courage and bravery that led to a happy life, long after World War II
Mary Walker & Charlotte Doyle Born in 1832, Mary Walker was one of the leaders for the women’s rights activist, and also this meant that she was in America. When Mary Walker lived in America she lost her job from the Nullification Crisis that had happened in mid-late 1832. Mary was a nurse during the Civil War and she had received the Medal of Honor for her service. These women were part of something you wouldn’t think a women could do like hanging with sailors/pirates or becoming a war hero for being a healer, so if you set your mind to do anything daring do it.
By showing the world courage, heroes impact our society and teach us how to be better people. Georgia Gilmore and Elie Wiesel demonstrated courage during the hard times of segregation and the Holocaust. Georgia Gilmore courageously fought for the civil rights movement despite all that was against her. Her actions inspired many people to do the same. Georgia Gilmore was an African American woman that lived in Montgomery, Alabama, and participated in the Montgomery bus boycott by fundraising for the organization, Club from Nowhere.

The result became African American literature that is prosperous; thereby developing a social insight to their personal experiences and history. Although men are predominantly recognized in history for being well educated and powerful, women have played a great part in shaping America to what it is today. Phillis Wheatley, and Maria W. Stewart, were true Christian African American women that have portrayed historical events though literature. Wheatley and Stewart hold similar ideals for African Americans, however, their personalities are profoundly different.
Because of her willingness to do whatever it took to help, many innocent children and adults’ lives were saved. By examining Spaak’s selflessness, bravery, and persistence, it is clear that she was indeed full of moral courage. Spaak was born into a high class Belgian banking family, and was accustomed to a high standard of living. Her husband, Claude, was a filmmaker and they had two children whom she found great fulfillment in raising.
A wartime hero during the holocaust was a man named Raoul Wallenberg. Wallenberg helped save over an estimated 100,000 people from the Nazis by issuing fake passports and housing jews. This was a pure act of humanity and compassion. Raoul didn 't care if he would be punished or killed but instead made a selfless act to help another person. There were many cases just like this one
Nazi soldiers banged on the two sisters’ door, pointed guns at their head and made them walk for miles before they even reached a truck depot just to be loaded up like cattle along with thousands of other Jewish people and their families to be taken to a Paris sports stadium. Cecile recalled them being without food and water for several days and the horrific smell that lingered through the stadium. You may ask how Cecile escaped and lives to tell the story. Two days after Cecile and her family arrived at the stadium they were allowed to leave and go to a French hospital with their mother who was ill with tuberculosis, t hat was also the last time Cecile, her sister and mother saw her father and older sister. While waiting at the hospital, Cecile and her sister talked a French guard into letting them leave the hospital.
Trade and exchange: the act of buying and selling goods, services, and ideas. Trade has been important to people so that they can obtain materials that they don’t originally have, and inherit new ideas and beliefs. Trade was such a huge part of the Olmec culture because the Olmec society was in swampy area Mexico, so trading was necessary to them because they only had limited materials available, and needed to trade for goods needed in order to survive. In the Roman Empire, there was a time known as the Pax Romana, which means Roman Peace, in which trade helped keep the peace. Christianity was founded from Judaism in Jerusalem.
Some of the able bodied men enlisted into the military, this showed true loyalty. The ones who didn’t were watched carefully. Inside these camps the living conditions were poor. During the winter they had to deal with low quality heating. Amongst the persecution they received they created a community.
People do not realize that some Germans played a role in rescuing Jews. One of the most courageous was Oskar Schindler. What makes Oskar Schindler such a good example? Schneider took a gamble with the Nazi Officials and it paid off in full. The gambles was with the jews, he knew what the germans were doing was wrong.
These survivors who experienced this event, have been scarred for the rest of their life. We can listen to their stories but we can’t imagine and experienced what they have gone through. For example, Szymon Binke, Hilma Geffen, and Baker Ella, were the survivors of the Holocaust. Szymon Binke was born in 1931 in Poland, his family moved to the city after the Nazi’s invasion. Nazis deported his family to Auschwitz where his mother and sister were gassed, while, Szymon was placed in Kinder block but after sometime he ran away to meet his family in Auschwitz.
