Sonia Obutch a True Hero Sonia at this point in time she didn’t want to die. She did it for her people, she did it because she was fighting the German soldiers. Sonia was a 17 year old girl who was a Jew and she was kind of like a nurse. Since there were a lot of soldiers that were getting hurt badly. Sonia went out sometimes and would help take down communication towers.Sonia Obuch is the girl in this story, she helps the soldiers that are hurt, she helps destroy the communication towers, and she helps her family get through the hard times. Her brother becomes a soldier and tells Sonia to stay and take care of their family and to keep them safe, Sonia didn’t listen to her brother so she decided to become a nurse to help her brother and to help the other soldiers. Sonia Obutch was around 17 when the Holocaust began. Her mother, siblings and about 14 other people traveled with her to the place where they joined a group that the Jews made to hide and stay safe at.
