After watching the e-Activity video about education in Costa Rica, the final determination of the two differences observed between that of their educational system and North America’s educational system are the what that country seems to value most their land and their heritage. Although environmental education practices are relative for our future.

Costa Rican’s appear to make less money (75.57% less money according to If It Were My Home (2018). The GDP per capita in the United States is $52, 800, while Costa Rica’s is $12,900 (If It Were My Home, 2018). Even though they make less than the US, this underdeveloped country requires Curriculum includes - math, reading, science social studies and computer science, same as in the US.
After further research beyond that of the video it seems their education system requires students to know both Spanish and English, and required to speak fluently both languages in school (If It Were My Home, 2018). Whereas, the US, makes those requirements along with the options to study not only Spanish but other languages.
Other similarities include the curriculum and dress codes of both the US and Costa Rica. They both require all students to study math, reading, science social studies and computer science, even if they use different tools to present the information (Costa Rica-Chalkboard; US-Smartboard).And in a lot of schools throughout the US, students are required to wear uniforms, very much similar to those in the
