Football is americas sport. Football is the most watched sport in america. It is a physical sport were people tackle, truck and try to hurt each other. There are two types of players there are offense and there is defence. On the field there is a offense and a defense.
Emily Thomas explains in the article “This is Why we call it ‘Soccer’ not ‘Football’”, that the reason that we call soccer “soccer” and not football in because of many different reasons. Some reasons are that Britain created the word ‘soccer’, and the U.S. started using the term and then the British though it was “too American” to continue using, so they stopped using it and started saying ‘football’. In the article, Thomas states “Americans’ use of the term ‘soccer’ continues to incite frustration among those loyal to the original name of the game.”. This means that many people who call in ‘football’ get frustrated when an American calls it soccer and not football.
Football is a huge sport in the United States, and people get crazy about it. The most popular events for football fans are the college football and NFL. With both of them being grand and popular, the college football games are better to watch and more enjoyable than NFL Games because of its good players, dedicated fans and incomparable atmosphere. One Sport, Two Completely Different Games One might think that the level at which a game is played makes no difference on how the game is played. The list of differences between the NFL and NCAA football, however, goes on and on. Most differences are due to variations of rules, but are not limited to this, as differences are also sprung from off of the field. Free time and how players use it, preparations, rules, styles, and so much more vary between the NFL and NCAA. Due to the different rules, abilities of players, and coaching styles, many people would say that they find college football more interesting or more exciting to watch and after watching both college football and NFL football, it is a hard point to argue.

When it comes to football and soccer one is definitely more physical than the other while in football the main point is to viciously collide into each other to prevent an opponent's play or to try to make a play but all football players are equipped with the gear to take the hits while soccer players have no gear but shin pads and some goalkeepers wear protective head bands but that is very uncommon. What about Citizen Kane allows it to hold such a lofty claim such as this one? Countless reasons are hidden within the film; however, most critics would agree it is because within the film lies the origin of what makes films leading up to this day a success. A major reason why critics justify Citizen Kane being a marvelous film, is because of it's mystery being revealed through circular structure.
However, for the most part, it is a very smooth game. Football on the other hand is a fast pace game, most defiantly intense, and the atmosphere is different. The two sports vary in many ways, and most people would say “well obviously they are different.”
Each sport has their own rules and each sport has their own skills that leads the team to a win. Softball and volleyball are two very different sports, but use some of the same skill and are similar in a few ways. Watching a game of volleyball or a game of softball you would not think they are similar because they look nothing alike when they are being played, but some of the skills are similar. I am now going to compare and contrast the game of volleyball to a game of softball.
