Amir and Farid were going to Kabul from Jalalabad, in search of Hassan’s son Soharb, who was sent to orphanage after Taliban had captured him. On his way to Kabul, Amir recalled his journey with Baba as a kid when they escaped from the war and Baba had a fight with Roussi officer. Farid and Amir became good friends as they exchanged talk during the four hour journey. As they entered Kabul, Amir was wretched to look at the devastated situation of the city. The place where he use to live and the place he saw right now was totally different, as now it was all ruined. There they met the director of orphanage; Zaman , who took them for a round of the place, where hundreds of children lived however beds and blankets available for them were in a very less in quantity due to lack of funds.
