Specifically, two birds in this book were unique to me and I could really connect them to the human population, the first one being the Avaricious Bird. This bird is similar to a human in the way that it lusts for money and wealth. Throughout all of time, an enormous part of living was having or wanting money. I feel as if wealth has evolved into an idea that has brainwashed the human population and has become a much bigger deal than it has to be. The bird says, “I willingly serve its power I’m oh I’m under its spell” (pg. 48). This is a perfect example of the “brainwashed” part of humanity.
