Breaking bad is a television drama series where the main protagonist, Walter White, a chemistry high school teacher enters the business of methamphetamine production. With the help of his former student, Jesse Pinkman, he sells the product in order to financially support the treatments of his recently diagnosed lung cancer and his family's future considering the probability of his imminent death. Many virtues and portrayed in these two characters; but, throughout the five seasons, theses virtues dramatically changes - some for the best and some for the worst. He first appears as an immature small town drug dealer who enjoys the party life. The sin that best describes him at the beginning is gluttony. Effectively, Jesse seems to suffer from excessive desire - desire of drugs and money. Jesse has always been an inattentive student which led to his dropping-out. Walter contacts him after seeing escape a DEA arrest. He is blackmailed by his old chemistry teacher into forming partnership in the methamphetamine distribution business. Jesse seems though and confident when it comes to drug dealing, he also does not seem to have much pity when Walter has to kill Krazy-8 or when he dissolves the body in hydrologic acid. These traits make him seen antipathy and without conscience or ethics; but this is soon proven to be wrong. Later in the series, Jesse vices transform into virtues. His encounter with Jane can be seen as the turning point of his gluttony into love. Effectively, after meeting her, the good in him seem to slowly come out. His ability to love is really shown after her death as he is completely devastated and blames himself for her death which leads to him becoming self-destructive. His ability to love is also shown through his relationship with Andrea. Jesse love, and attempts to protect and give her to the best of his ability. He is forced to return into the drug business as a cook by Jack's White Supremacist Gang as they threaten him to kills her and her son Brock. Furthermore, Jesse also appears to be extremely caring and this virtue is shown in the relationship he holds with Brock and with his little brother Jake. Jesse treats Brock as a son; he regularly sends money to his mother so that they can live a better life and enjoys spending time with him. When Brock is rushed to the hospital after becoming extremely ill, Jesse is filled with fear and guilt as he believes that he was poison by the ricin he was carrying in is cigarette.
