In class English 190 we as pupils have learned various of functions that come to producing a film that seem simple though far from it as complex skills, techniques, and experience are acquired to accomplish the proper chemistry to the film that will be enjoyed by audience, whom are easily distracted if the film seems to lack an attractive chemistry. Moreover, the chemistry comes from various of essential tools, techniques, tricks, tips, and overall knowledge of filming such as the depth detail of mise-en-scene that focus on costumes, role playing, staging, and propping, and many more artistic features that are noticed throughout films. Therefore, I will be analyzing two different scenes, one from Pulp Fiction and another from Apocalypse Now that have made an effective emotional chemistry to its audience with cinematography and mise-en-scene, which gave these scenes an epic appeal with the various of techniques used to express a specific emotion to its audience.

Additionally, in the Pulp fiction directed by Quentin Tarantino shows very much depth detail of the chemistry mise-en-scene produces that leaves an emotional suspense within the scene and its audience. For instance, the scene in Pulp Fiction that uses mise-en-scene effectively to create suspense is the scene where Mia Wallace overdoses on hydrochloride salt (cocaine) and Vincent Vega has to drive Mia to her drug dealer’s house Lance in order to revive Mia with an adrenaline shot. In fact, the director Quentin Tarantino began to build suspense as the scene began when Vincent found Mia on the floor foaming from the mouth and continued to build as you seen Vincent panic face in a state of panic knowing his boss will kill him if she died.
